“I was born in Huaraz, at the bottom of the Cordillera Blanca in the heart of the Peruvian Andes. In my early 20’s I started to hike and climb the mountains in the Huascaran National Park. I closely followed the passion and work of my father, whose work took him to survey the glaciers of these mountains. It wasn’t hard to fall in love with the tourism industry in a country full of wonders and extraordinary people. In my early explorations and trekking adventures back in the 90’s, I hiked the Cordillera Huayhuash; Yerupaja, Siula and Jirishanka mountains; the Cusco region: Vilcanota and Ausangate, Carabaya and Qulecaya Vilcabamba and Salcantay, Cordillera Urubamba. After several climbing seasons, I moved onto explore the Patagonia Region, hiking the Torres del Paine area, Base camp to Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre, navigating the Magellans Straits, and down to the Cordillera Darwin. These are remote and extraordinary areas seldomly visited by tourists.

And here I am, over 30 years in the industry, sharing my travel and work experience along with my passion for expeditions and travel. I explore new lands and enjoy photography and adventures with David. His vision inspires me to continue on with my extraordinary work in adventure travel.”

“I discovered my passion for the outdoors during my teen years thanks to my father; riding my mountain bikes, trying surf boards, or breaking in another new pair of hiking boots or soccer shoes. Years later, I was bitten by the travel bug and added photography aspirations to my plate. I am always looking for new landscapes and inspiration no matter where I am - the Andean valleys, rain forests, Croatian and Greek islands with precious sunsets, Shenandoah, Smokey Mountains, Yosemite or Sequoia National Parks.

I could say that somehow traveling and exploration has paved our family’s path through generations, either for work and research or for leisure and fun. Now we want to share our passion and honor for nature, for traveling, and for our people and the planet that houses us. We invite you to join Native Paths on your next adventure.”
